5:Steps to Add Keywords& Meta Description by using Yoast Plugin.

Step 1:After installing Yoast plugin, Open the WordPress post or page you want to optimize. I selected the same post which you are reading right now,

“How to add Keywords and Meta Description in WordPress”.

This is the current condition of blog posts without adding keywords and meta descriptions.

Step 2:Open the post and scroll down to the yoast tab option. Now in this tab, we would add the focus keyphrase or Main keyword of this blog, which will help the user to find this blog post on the search engine.
You can also get focus keyword-related phrases by clicking on the Highlighted tab.

Step3:Now, write a slug and meta description under the focus keyphrase. Your meta description should be 156 characters or less. Remember to add focus words in the meta description too.
