1:Install Easy Digital Downloads Plugin:

After installing and activating the Easy digital download plugin, go to the dashboard➡Download➡setting. In store tab provide all your business information.

2:Setting a payment gateway

After doing all general settings, click on the payment tab. This is the most crucial part of the whole process. You need to be very careful while selecting a payment method.

To set up your payment gateway, navigate to the “Payment Gateways” section in the Easy Digital Downloads settings. Here you can choose the payment gateway you want to use and configure its settings.

You can see various payment options you can select according to your business requirement. I picked Stripe and Paypal payment options.

In the screenshot above, we selected Paypal and stripe payment methods. That’s why we are getting these two options on the setup wizard. Now connect both payment methods.

3:Email configuration:

Although the default email has everything the customer needs, it’s a good idea to personalize it to stand out. For instance, adding your branding and logo can help your email look more professional.

To customize the default email, go to Downloads » Settings, and click on the ‘Emails’ tab.

Adding Your Branding

One way to begin is by including your logo in the purchase confirmation email. This will place the logo at the email’s header, which will help your customers quickly identify who sent the email.

Select the ‘Upload File’ option to add a logo and choose the image from the Media Library or your device.

Changing the ‘From’ Name and Email

In addition, you can include a ‘From Name’ that will be visible to customers in their inbox. It’s best to choose a name that is familiar to them, such as your brand’s name or online music store.

Furthermore, you must provide a ‘From Email’ address, which will serve as the email’s sender and ‘reply-to’ address.

Configuring the Payment Confirmation Email

Some customers may respond to the purchase receipt email, particularly if they encounter difficulties downloading your music. In such cases, they may click the ‘Reply’ button to contact you for assistance.

To ensure you receive their emails, you must use a business email address you check regularly.

Improving Your Email Deliverability

Customers who don’t receive the purchase receipt email cannot download the music they bought. To avoid this problem, ensure the purchase receipt email arrives in their inbox, not their spam folder.

To improve email deliverability rates, we recommend using WP Mail SMTP. Click on the ‘Install & Activate WP Mail SMTP’ and follow the on-screen instructions to configure the free plugin.
